Welcome to all worshiping with us today, especially those of you who are guests among us. We hope you will make yourselves known to those sitting near you by signing the Registration pad. Once it has passed to the far end of the row, please pass it back to where it started. Immediately after the service, please introduce yourself to Pastor Kevin or someone from the welcome committee wearing sashes on their nametags.

Children and Sunday School: Children are welcome in worship. We also provide childcare during the 10:00 AM worship service. Our well equipped nursery is for children up to 3 years old.  School age children have Children's Church following the Children's Message.  Children are welcome to go to Children's Church or return to sit with their family.

Need a prayer for yourself, neighbor, loved one… Health issues, personal concerns, family conflicts.  Contact  the office. All requests are completely confidential. We never share names, only prayers.

Wednesday Night Programming
5:30-6:30 p.m. — Supper, $5.00 a person or $20 for a family.  Join us for Spaghetti Night on September 27th.
6:00 p.m. — Youth Choir (grades 4-8) and Mission Adventures for K-3
6:30 p.m. — God’s Kids choir (grades K-3) and Mission Adventures for grades 4-8
6:00 p.m. — Adult studies with Pastor Jen
Mission Adventures:  We start off the month looking at Peter, Paul, and Philip as we review how the early church began and spread.

Adult Sunday School:  He traveled thousands of miles, sometimes in ill health, only to be beaten, imprisoned and beheaded for his faith. Yet he persevered.  Please join us as Adam Hamilton shares the highlights and “lowlights” of the life of the Apostle Paul. This seven-week study begins on October 8th at 9:00a.m. in Room 6 (just to the left of the sanctuary). Each week, we will view a DVD presentation, followed by discussion, questions and analysis – we’re very flexible. A study book is not essential, but very helpful (see Grace Notes). If you have questions or need more information, please contact Nancy Milne.
There is a display TODAY in the gathering area. Please stop by to pick up a pink “Points to Ponder” sheet. It will give you a feel for what Adam Hamilton is trying to tell us about the ministry of Paul.

Coffee and Treats Have Begun:  We are in need of baked items for the coffee hour between the two services. If you think this is something you can help with, a sign-up sheet is on the table in the Narthex. If you have any questions, call Lynn Kilian at 651-315-1647. Thank you very much.

Vacation and Continuing Education  Pastor Jen and family will be away on vacation Monday, September 25th thru Saturday, September 30th. Pastor Jen will then be attending a continuing education event at Luther Seminary Monday October 2nd through Wednesday Oct 4th. If you are in need of pastoral care during that time, please contact Rev. Becky Jo Messenbrink at Glendale UMC in Savage. You can reach her at the Glendale church office at 952-894-5394. If you need to reach Rev. Messenbrink immediately, please contact one of the Administrative Board members for her cell phone number.

Shared Interest Groups

Movie Night --  Lion:  Find Your Way Home, Monday, October 9th at 7:00 at Grace
A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia.  Twenty-five years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

Book Club: The Lost Women of Lost Lake (Jane Lawless Mysteries) by Ellen Hart.
Thursday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the Home of Mary Barthel
P.I. Jane Lawless and her best friend, Cordelia, head north to help a friend on crutches. Tessa and her partner Jill run the Thunderhook Lodge, the premier resort on Lost Lake. And while Tessa clearly needs Jane and Cordelia's assistance, she isn't exactly acting all that grateful.  Tessa has been on edge ever since a man who claims to be a journalist arrived in Lost Lake with an old photograph and some questions for her and her neighbors. He is looking for two aging radicals wanted for the 1960’s murder of a policeman. After seeing the photo, Lyndie LaVasser calls Tessa in a near panic as she recognizes the woman in the photo--every time she looks in the mirror.
