More anniversaries to celebrate! On April 28th, we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Women’s Foreign Missionary Society, now known as the United Methodist Women.  We’re also observing the 61st anniversary of Grace’s United Methodist Women, originally the Women’s Society of Christian Service. The six founding women were originally denied membership because they had no church, so they established one. Both services will feature plenty of music, insights into our “foremothers” and special mission recognition awards. On display you will find billions and billions of photographs, memories and some of the ways in which the women of Grace have fulfilled and continue to fulfill their commitments to social justice, human rights and support of Grace church in a myriad of ways. Additionally, there is a box with a number of duplicate photos, so please take some time to look for a special picture of loved ones or friends. Refreshments will be served between services, so come early/stay late.

The United Methodist Women assembled a special cook book from recipes submitted by members and friends. The funds were used to help furnish the new part of the church after the fire. The remaining books will be available in the narthex during the first two weeks of April. They would make the perfect Easter gift for anyone who cooks. The entire free will offering will go towards the new roof. They will be available the first two Sundays in April..
