Welcome to all worshiping with us today, especially those of you who are guests among us. We hope you will make yourselves known to those sitting near you by signing the Registration pad. Once it has passed to the far end of the row, please pass it back to where it started. Immediately after the service, please introduce yourself to Pastor Jen.

Children and Sunday School: Children are welcome in worship. We also provide childcare during the 10:00 AM worship service. Our well equipped nursery is for children up to 3 years old. School age children have Children's Church following the Children's Message.  Children are welcome to go to Children's Church or return to sit with their family.

Need a prayer for yourself, neighbor, loved one… Health issues, personal concerns, family conflicts.  Contact  the office. All requests are completely confidential. We never share names, only prayers.
Office Schedule:  The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Adult Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. on September 15th in Room 6, just to the left of the sanctuary. Our fall study is Christianity and World Religions, revised edition by Adam Hamilton. We will begin with Buddhism.

Confirmation Start-up is September 15th with a student and parent meeting at 11:30 a.m. Confirmation is for students 6th- 12 grade. Please contact Pastor Rory. See below for contact information.
Coffee and Treats that in the past took place between services will now be taking place at 9:30 a.m. The sign-up for those who are willing to provide baked items, can be found on the table in the Narthex. If you have any questions, call Lynn Kilian at 651-315-1647 or e-mail at Thank you.
Wednesday Night Programming Returns on September 11th
A combined registration form for Wednesday Night Activities and Sunday School will be out on the table in the narthex beginning August 18th. They will also be avail-able at the Coming Together Brunch as well as the classrooms of the activity once they have begun.
Schedule of Wednesday Evening Times and Activities
6:00-6:30     Grace Kids (Pre-K - 3rd grade) and Youth Choir (4th - 8th grade)
6:30-7:00     Grace Youth (4th -12th grade) and God's Kids Choir (Pre-K - 3rd grade)
Grace Kids activities will be for Pre-K to 3rd graders and Grace Youth activities will be for 4th graders to 12th graders to keep in line with the ages of God's Kids and Youth Choir.
Adult Choir: All High School students and adults are welcome to join the choir! We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and will sing at the 10:00 a.m. service. The first rehearsal is August 28th and we begin singing on Sunday, September 8th. The director is Paige Macklin. 952-469-3384 or See the upcoming August Grace Notes for more details.
Special Music: We encourage all youth and adults who sing or play an instrument to con-tribute to special music at Grace. This is usually performed during the offertory at the 10:00 service. Shared Interest Groups 

Bible Study with Pastor Rory
Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. ~ Starting on Sept. 10th
This is a one-hour time to talk about a set of weekly scriptures called the lectionary.
It is an open “come-when-you-can” experience, with no additional reading. You can be totally new to Bible study or just looking for more depth. Come and check it out.

In the summer of 1976, recently widowed and child-less, Ora Beckworth hires a homeless old black man to mow her lawn. Movie Night: Breakthrough
Monday, September 9th, in the Narthex.
Based on the inspirational true story of one mother's unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds. When Joyce Smith's adopted son John falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her steadfast belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John's recovery, even in the face of every case history and scientific prediction.
Grace Dinner Group: If you have pondered joining the dining-in part of Grace Dinner Group, please consider joining us on Sept. 21st at 6:00 p.m. as we begin the new season. Hosts provide the entree and beverages with guests bringing complementary dishes. Both couples and singles are welcome.

Food, Fellowship and Fun: We will be resuming our monthly lunches out, meeting on the last Saturday of the month at noon. For September we will be going to Casper's Cherokee restaurant, located at 4625 Nicols Road in Eagan. Last year Casper's was voted Eagan's number-one patio and we are hoping to have a beautiful Fall day to be able to enjoy the outdoors! All are welcome to join us! Emma Norton Services
Ruth Voll Circle is collecting gift items for Emma Norton Services. They are hosting the September Birthday party at Emma Norton on Tuesday, September 24th. The items we collect will be Bingo prizes. Suggestions for items to donate are as follows: small laundry detergent; make up — mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, face powder, etc; nice smelling body washes/lotions, body sprays, per-fumes, shampoos/conditioners; throw blankets/pillows; wall hangings or decorations featuring inspi-rational quotes. Thank you.
Ruby's Pantry. Food distribution will take place on Monday September16th, at Glendale UMC in Savage.  Volunteers can just show up at Glendale anytime between 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. to help for a few minutes or for a few hours. If you have any questions, please call Lynn Kilian at 651-315-1647 or go to
Ruby’s Pantry is a non-profit organization that gathers food donations from local retailers and brings them to their distribution sites over Minnesota and Wisconsin. For more information on Ruby’s Pantry’s Mission.

How it works:  Every 3rd Monday of each month Glendale’s sanctuary & fellowship hall are turned into a distribution site. Registration begins at 4:30 PM and runs until 6:00 PM.
Third Quarter ~ Lewis House Mission Baby Shower
Lewis House is a residential community in Eagan for women and children who need a place to live as they leave abusive situations. Grace UMC sponsors a quarterly mission to assist the families who live there. This time around we will be doing things a little differently. We will be doing a “baby shower” theme through a Target gift registry. On September 22nd and 29th we will be collecting the items purchased from the registry to help the resi-dents. Be on the look-out for more details in the Sunday Bulletins and the Narthex.
