ACCOMPANIST

Dan has made a career in music as a private piano teacher, performer, and church musician. He grew up on a dairy farm and showed Holstein cows at various fairs and dairy shows. He came to Grace United Methodist Church in January 2024. He lives with his wife, Julie who he met when she sang in a church choir he directed. He enjoys movies/theater, walking the dogs, reading, listening to music, but most of all, spending time with his daughter, son-in-law, and three grandkids.

BOARD LEADER & TECH LEAD

Amelia first came to Grace UMC on a snowy December day several years ago, which happened to be Christmas Pageant Sunday, and she’s been hooked ever since. She has a passion for aviation and enjoys her day job as an aviation sales manager, which sometimes sends her to exciting places around the world. When she’s not volunteering at Grace UMC or the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame, she can usually be found driving her boys to activities or planning her son’s next lacrosse tournament trip. She lives in Lakeville with her husband Brian and two boys. They enjoy traveling and spending time on our beautiful Minnesota lakes together.

BOARD LEADER & ADMIN SUPPORT

Marty grew up in New York City in a Jewish family and met and married a Catholic woman from Iowa, named Mary. They have two adult children who are their pride and joy. Marty is currently retired after a career as a Computer Programmer and senior IT resource - the last 24 years of which were spent at Ameriprise Financial in the Twin Cities.

BOARD LEADER & STAFF-CHURCH RELATIONS CHAIR

Robert, Toni, Samuel, and Teddy joined Grace in 2015. As a family, they enjoy volunteering for church, city, and other charitable organization activities. Robert is a manager at MnDOT, Planning Commissioner for the City of Burnsville, and Rotarian. The Timmermans enjoy traveling and spending time at their family cabin.

CHILDREN'S SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Toni lives in Burnsville with her husband, Robert, and two sons. She loves spending time with family and friends, attending Twins games, watching her boys sports games, practicing yoga, and finding ways to be creative. Toni has worked for the State of MN at the Department of Revenue for 18 years helping educate taxpayers, ensuring systems work, and supervising staff.

CHILDREN'S SPIRITUAL FORMATION & BOARD LEADER

Roy works in sports media, covering high school and college teams in southern MN and is a big hockey fan. When he has free time, he runs. He especially enjoys running with his wife and kids and on wooded trails. He and his wife Chris have two adult children Cynthia and Aaron.

BOARD LEADER, FINANCE & TREASURER

Doris has been a Real Estate Property Accountant for over 34 years and is looking forward to retirement at the end of October 2022. She has been actively involved in the church and has been the Treasurer for over 30 years. She enjoys reading, working in the yard and being involved with her two grandchildren. She and her husband Tom have one adult child, Judy.

Ray came to Grace in 2015 and has served in numerous capacities since retiring from 40 years in the pharmaceutical world. He was the Trustees Chair, an Admin Board member, was active in the Overlook land sale/construction liaison process, was a Lay Delegate to the Annual Conference, and held other assorted roles. He and his wife Ardith moved here from Rochester MN and previously were members of River Hills UMC and Rosemount UMC. Ray and Ardith have 2 grown daughters and 4 wonderful grandchildren. In his free time, Ray dabbles in writing and working on puzzles, is an avid sports fan, and enjoys pontooning at his daughter's cabin. He and Ardith have traveled widely (both in and out of the country). The two of them love watching their grandkids play hockey and volleyball.
